ABOUT MED WEEK

Each year since 1983, the President has proclaimed a week as National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week to honor the achievements and many contributions of minority entrepreneurs, individuals and organizations that support minority business development.  Regional MED Week activities are usually held in the weeks prior to the national celebration that takes place in Washington, D.C.

MED Week provides a forum for discussions of major issues affecting the growth and development of MBEs.  Highlights of the event also include seminars, networking reception and an awards ceremony

The theme for the 27th Annual Chicago MED Week Celebration is "Minoriry Business Enterprise: Energizing the American Economy" which focuses attention on minority businesses as a catalyst for growth in the AMerican economy.  Business data has demonstrated that minority business development is a major factor in the overall growth of the American economy for the past decade.

Join us for Chicago MED Week 2009 an outcome oriented event that impacts the business community at large.
